Houston Socialites Are Doin' It Up BIG!

So BIG in fact that I will have to post multiple stories to make sure I cover everyone adequately!

Before I begin, I have to give a Special Thanks to Black Socialite Community Member Luxelady89 who provided me with this great list of Socialites from the Houston Area!

Luxelady89 is a Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Links legacy with her feet firmly planted into the Black Socialite scene in a few cities.

Hugs and kisses to you Girlfriend!

OK, pull up your chair and brace yourself – there’s a lot to digest here…and remember folks…

You read this here first…

Both Cheryl Creuzot (pictured in a black gown next to Toni Whittaker) and Eileen Lawal were named ‘2008 Women of Distinction’ by the ABC affiliate in Houston last month. Creuzot (who holds three degrees from the University of Houston) is the President/CEO of Wealth Development Strategies LLC. Her husband (Percy Creuzot) is the owner of a successful catering company. The Creuzots are active on the boards of Project Row Houses, the Menil Collection, the Houston Museum of African American Culture, and the University of Houston Law Alumni Association

Lawal is the mother of three and married to Kase Lawal, the Chairman/CEO of CAMAC International Corporation, a billion dollar Houston-based crude oil and gas exploration corporation. This company is the second largest Black owned company in the US. In 2006 Mr. Lawal (who is Nigerian) was featured on the cover of Black Enterprise and USA Today in 2007.

The Lawals established a one million dollar endowment at Texas Southern University's Jesse H. Jones School of Business to create the Kase and Eileen Lawal Center for International Business Development. TSU is the alma mater of New York Giants Defensive End Michael Strahan and Gospel singer Yolanda Adams. It is also one of the country’s largest HBCUs.
Cheryl Creuzot and Eileen Lawal have been listed in the Houston Chroncile’s ‘Best Dressed Hall of Fame.’

Yes, I know…you’re in awe.

I told you there is a lot of great stuff here!

And, more to come!
