Thelma Golden & Duro Olowu wed on the QT in NYC

Thanks to great friend to this blog (and my Soror) 'Steeltrap' for sharing with me that Studio Museum of Harlem Director and Chief Curator Thelma Golden married Nigerian born designer Duro Olowu very quietly last month in New York.

Papermag.com Editor Kim Hastreiter introduced the couple to each other (who are both in their 40s). The wedding was said to be a very intimate affair.

According to Fashion Week Daily, Olowu designed the wedding gown for his bride to be (awwwww!) and presented her with a lovely Etoile pavé ring from Tiffany's.

She is the tour-de-force that has brought in mega-bucks, exhibits, and glamour into The Studio Museum of Harlem. Her BFF is Alexandra Llewellyn Clancy (daughter of Mega Socialite J. Bruce Llewellyn). Ms. Alexandra is married to legendary writer Tom Clancy.

Duro Olowu is one of the hottest, up and coming designers to hit the 'scene' in years. A darling of Vogue Magazine and W, he is also one of the featured designers of Couturelab - a luxury online retailer.

This is definitely going to be a couple to watch!
