While catching up on my reading, I recently learned that White House Social Secretary & Super Socialite Desiree Rogers graced the cover of Michigan Avenue magazine this month.
And, as always she looks absolutely smashing.
There are some who want Ms. Rogers to "fall back" from her so-called "glamour girl" persona - largely because she is working in The White House during the United States' worst economic recession in recorded history.
But I'm a firm believer that one has to be who they are regardless of negative nay-sayers. Those of us who were Black Socialite watchers long before President Obama became President Obama knows that Ms. Rogers is being 100% authentic. Her clothes and fashion sense scored her magazine stories galore - and that was before she accepted her current position.
So, it is what is whether people can get with it or not.
I say kudos to her for representing us with style and class!
Anyhoo good people, have a great weekend!
