Friday's Fabulous Flick

This week's flick features Tolula Adeyemi at the Mulberry and Matthew Williamson party in London recently.

Her fashion sense is very cutting edge and two thumbs up to her for this fabulous gown!

We're bracing for more snow on the East Coast, so I'll be locked down at home AGAIN!

Have a great weekend good people.

Spring is coming - although not quick enough for me!

President Obama Appoints Johnson & Joyner to Administrative Positions

President Obama announced his intention on February 5th to appoint Sheila Johnson (top photo) & Super Socialite Pamela Joyner to the President's Committee on The Arts and The Humanities.

Ms. Johnson is the only Black woman to own three professional sports teams and is the co-founder of BET. She is also the founder and CEO of Salamander Hospitality.

Ms. Joyner is Trustee Emeritus of The San Francisco Ballet and a Trustee of The School of American Ballet. She is also a Trustee of Dartmouth College.

I can't wait to see what good work will come from this committee with these two "heavy hitters" on board!

Surviving The Snowpocalypse

Yes, I survived one of the most unbelievable snow storms in US history. And, we're expecting more of the heavy, white stuff sometime between tomorrow & Wednesday.

Seriously, I've had enough.

This weather is cramping my social life & I hate being stuck in the house. Tons of events & activities in my hometown were canceled or postponed. So, I know I won't be able to get everything in as planned.

For those of you who live in the Mid-Atlantic region, another trip to the supermarket may be in order.

But I will say there is one good thing to being marooned in my house.

It's given me some time to adjust to my new life as an engaged woman (it is really different). We have LOTS of talks which may have been delayed if we were zooming around to various events.

I'll share some of those convos with you in future postings.

In the meanwhile, stay warm.

Spring will be here soon!
