This week's flicks feature some very lovely ladies attending The San Francisco Symphony Opening Gala featuring American soprano extraordinaire Jessye Norman. The event’s proceeds fund the Symphony’s educational programs that successfully reach 75,000 school aged children annually.

This week's flicks capture some of the attendees at Laura Smalls' Fashion Show during New York City's Fashion Week. Ms. Smalls has become quite the designer du jour as she is one of the favorites of First Lady Michelle Obama and other prominent Black fashion luminaries.

Evidence, A Dance Company recently held their annual “On Our Toes in the Hamptons” fundraising gala at the Hamptons estate of The Honorable Bernard H. Jackson and his wife Joyce Mullins-Jackson. This year’s event celebrated the dance company’s 25th anniversary and also honored longtime supporters Prince Kunle Omilana of Nigeria & Princess Keisha Omilana. This year’s chair was Reginald Van Lee, Chairman Emeritus of the company.

Hermes displayed and sold the commemorative scarf created in honor of Evidence’s anniversary and; the Committee Co-Chairs all sported jeweled bags courtesy of Judith Lieber. Moet-Hennessey provided Belvedere Vodka for cocktails and champagne.

Happy Labor Day Weekend America!

This week’s flick features (from left to right) Karen Earl, Angela Parker, actress Halle Berry, Avis Frazier-Thomas, Karen Bass, and Pat Greene attending a luncheon hosted by Ronald Perelman and Halle Berry.

The event was held Perelman’s home in East Hampton as a benefit the Jenesse Center in Los Angeles (a center that assists women transitioning out of domestically violent situations into healthy, functional lifestyles).

Perelman announced during the event that Revlon would donate $250,000 to help fund a new facility for the center.
