Aloft Harlem To Debut in Early December

Starwood Hotels and Resorts have announced the opening of a trendy new boutique hotel in Harlem on December 2, 2010 under the Aloft brand. The hotel will undoubtedly serve as an additional cornerstone in the cultural and economic revitalization of Harlem. The last hotel erected in Harlem was the famed Theresa Hotel which closed its doors in 1967. Starwood committed to proceed with the project despite the current economic recession.

“Aloft Harlem is the first hotel to open in the area in nearly 100 years,” said Aleksandra Truglio, Director of Sales and Marketing at Aloft Harlem. “We feel it could not be a better time to open our doors and bring visitors an experience that hasn’t been available until now. The goal from the beginning has been to be a great community partner and to further enrich this thriving and historic neighborhood.”
