Friday's Fabulous Flick

This week's flick features Umindi Frances (right) with Erika Bearman at the Frick Collection's Young Fellows Ball. The event was recently held in New York City and raised over $240,000 for the Frick Art Reference Library and the Frick educational programming.

More than 600 attendees donned their fancy attire - showcasing the color of the season, tangerine. Ms. Frances clearly wears it well!

Have a great weekend all!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today, I celebrate another birthday (yea me!)

No big plans - just getting some much needed rest right now.  I think I may buy myself a tablet PC too.

This evening, Fab Fiance and I will enjoy a nice dinner at one of my favorite Italian restaurants.

It's always good to see another year!

As a special gift to me, please pray for Trayvon Martin's family today.

Also, do what you can (by writing to the Attorney General, the Department of Justice, etc.) to ensure that justice is served as his family grapples with the aftermath of this awful tragedy.

Hug your loved ones and be safe out there.

This week's flick features Rosharra Francis attending the Jazz at Lincoln Center Annual Benefit Gala recently in New York City.

I love a fresh face and simple, elegant style!

It's a nice departure from all of the bling - don't you think?

Have a super weekend!

Friday's Fabulous Flick

This week's flick features Super Socialite and Johnson Publishing Company CEO Desiree Rogers attending Kate Betts' Everyday Icon Michelle Obama and the Power of Style book party in Manhattan recently.

Gotta love this look!
Ms. Rogers has been on a great career trajectory since leaving the White House as the first African American Social Secretary. Ebony Magazine is on the upswing - which is a really absolutely fabulous.

Long time readers of this blog know that I sent out a rally cry for support of Ebony and Jet a few years back. So I am thrilled beyond words that these publications appear to be thriving under Ms. Rogers' leadership.

Plus, she's still giving us major fashion - a huge win for all of us don't you think?
