features attendees at the 3rd Annual Diversity Affluence Brunch & Awards,
which was held on August 19th at B Smith’s in Sag Harbor, New York.
The event was sponsored by Baume & Mercier, JPMorgan Chase, Draftfcb and
Belvedere Vodka.
The event celebrates three
distinguished leaders in civil rights activism, business and media who have achieved
success as a minority and/or who have advanced the diversity agenda in America.
This year’s awardees were: Marc Morial,
CEO, National Urban League; Donna Byrd, publisher, TheRoot.com and Laurence
Boschetto, CEO and president, Draftfcb. Each honoree received an a Baume & Mercier watch.
Notable attendees at
the event included: Dale Mason Cochran; style icon Shala Monroque; philanthropist
Sherry Bronfman; entertainment attorney Kojo Bentil; Steven Board, executive
director,100 Black Men of America Inc.; Susan Taylor, former editor-in-chief,
Essense Magazine; designer Kevin Michael Barba; and Justin Troy of the New York
Giants.
