Proceeds will go to the Penn Towne Chapter's educational and charitable endeavors. Two young ladies (one of whom is my former intern!) gave personal testimony of how the Penn Towne Links helped them achieve their personal and professional goals for the large crowd.
The event was held at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. This was hubby's first Links event since becoming a "Connecting Link" this summer when we married. So we toasted his new "status" and was showered with affection from many attendees.
More than 500 guests in attendance dressed in elegant splendor. Greetings was extended by Dianne Hardison, Eastern Area Director of The Links, Incorporated. The three course sit down dinner was proceeded by a cocktail hour where guests hob-nobbed. We sat at one of the tables of Alexcia Wells, Chapter Treasurer of the Penn Towne Links, who entertained her guests with her Connecting Link Joseph. We also had a chance to talk with Penn Towne Chapter President Thelma Henderson and member Kimberly McCown-Newman with her Connecting Link Kevin.

We spent time talking to Philadelphia Chapter Links Mariska Bogle, Renee Allen and Connecting Link Wesley, Leah Sheppard and Connecting Link Donnell, Renetta Holloway and Connecting Link Hillary, Evelyn Sample Oates and Connecting Link Patrick, Angela Crockett and Connecting Link Russell, Stephanie Watkins and Connecting Link Joseph (MSNBC Conservative Commentator), Catherine Manning Adams and Connecting Link Michael, and Mellanie Lassiter.
Bucks County, PA Chapter Links Patricia Louison and Karima Bouchenafa and Delaware Valley, PA Link Leslie Graves gave generous hugs. Southern New Jersey Chapter Link Shirley Archie and Connecting Link Robert joked with us for a good portion of the evening.
Hubby and I ended the evening with a cocktail at XIX with a few people. We enjoyed ourselves as it's always nice to toast the fall - and look towards the year's conclusion.
PS: I took these photos on my phone because my camera wasn't charged! So these are my best shots! Forgive me good people!

I'm testing the Blogger app out on my phone today while getting my do "did." So, let see how this post goes!
Last week, I had a meeting with the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia to explore partnership opportunities with my day gig. While waiting for the meeting to begin, my colleague and I viewed some of the exhibits.
What caught my eye is this elegant napkin by Estee Lauder.
Apparently, Ms. Lauder hosted amazing dinner parties that included a fascinating mix of people. But what she did to commemorate the occasion was extra special.
She gave each guest a napkins with the date of the dinner and the dinner menu as a keepsake. It made me think about special touches and things we can all do to let people know they matter.
As we are approaching the close of yet another tough year economically speaking, let's thoughtfully consider what special touches we can share with the special ones in our lives.
I'm interested in hearing your ideas. I plan to share some of mine soon.
