I'm heading to Chicago tomorrow to participate in an "advanced leaders" training institute associated with one of the major organizations with which I volunteer. I'm excited about this - but at the same time, I'm sick and cranky about being sick.
Pray for me everyone.
Long time readers of this blog know that I get "sick" multiple times of each year with colds and viruses. Unfortunately, this is an occupational hazard because my full time job entails working with the public (many of whom do not wash their hands on a regular basis).
Think that's disgusting - well it's the truth. The majority of these "icks" traveling around are because people have forsaken hand washing. So wash, wash, wash those hands and ramp up on your vitamins. I saw a network news report talking about the flu outbreak traveling around the US. Get a flu shot and guard thyself from the plague!!
Anyhoo - back to Chicago. It's one of my favorite American cities and I also enjoy visiting. My days and evenings are tied up when I visit. So many thanks to several of you in advance whom always offer to buy this gal coffee, tea, cocktails, dinners, and/or offer suggestions for places to check out.
Enough about me - and now a bit onto you. I hope that your new year is going well so far. We have some crazy nonsense jumping off in Congress - which is not totally a surprise. The good news is that those affected by Hurricane Sandy will finally receive long overdue federal relief aid.
If you've made some resolutions for this year, I'm sending out good vibes that you will be successful in achieving your goals.
Take care good people! We'll chat again soon.
