On Vacation

Your girl is taking a little time off. I'm looking forward to an unscripted break.

I plan to be back in business on July 26th.

Praying for his family

Some of you know that I've been on a rampage recently about people acting ugly towards each other. Specifically all of the "isms" have reared their hideous heads and raging out of control.

Much to my surprise, George Zimmerman is a free man tonight. And how sadly ridiculous this is don't you think?

It's a different type of pain to lose an innocent loved one in this way - and their killer is found not guilty.

I know this type of pain because my brother was murdered more than 10 years ago by a gun toting clown. And, the clown was found not guilty after a lengthy trial. It is a horrible experience for any family to endure.

Let's lift the Martin family and their friends in prayer. We should also consider turning our rage into action by our advocacy and our vote.

Our children need our protection and we owe them a better tomorrow than today.

Congratulations to Mellody Hobson & George Lucas

I know - I'm late with this news. But your girl was in Chicago at the same time as this happy couple's reception. I was staying at the Hilton Chicago.

I had a chance to see scores of limousines with the folks headed to the event. None of faces were familiar to me but I understand that many of these people are the who's who of the entertainment industry's power brokers.

Anyhoo, since my invitation was clearly lost in the mail, I decided to try to squeeze some intel out from the bellmen at my hotel.

Everyone was super tight lipped so I assume all sorts of confidentiality agreements were signed.

So good people, raise a glass in honor of this 40+ sister getting married for the first time and finding her Prince Charming!

May her love story inspire all of the true romantics out there!
