In Memory of Augusta Clark

Augusta Clark was a legendary woman.

She was a former Philadelphia City Council member who fought tirelessly for children and quality public education.

She was a librarian and a lawyer that leveraged her professional skills to help build community.

She was a Sister and Mentor that encouraged me and countless others to pursue our dream.

Today, I along with thousands of others said, "Goodbye and see you soon."

May you rest in peace Soror and Link Augusta Clark. I pray that more of us will follow your shining example.

Friday's Fabulous Flick

This week's flick features Esperanza Spalding, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Valerie Simpson attending the Carnegie Hall Gala recently in New York City.

You have to admit that the ladies look divine!

Today is my hubby's birthday and I'm receiving an award from my Alma Mater - The University of Pittsburgh! So we're in one of my favorite US cities, having a great time.

Have a super weekend good people!
